利用規約

These terms govern your use of this store and any order you place through it. The store is operated by Kaneka Kitagawa Tea Co., Ltd. (カネカ北川製茶株式会社), 1377-16 Kanaya Nikenya, Shimada, Shizuoka 428-0033, Japan. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person or business placing the order.

By placing an order you accept these terms, together with our shipping policy, refund policy and privacy policy.

Who can buy

Anyone can buy from this store. Company registration is not required and there is no minimum order. You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your country, and the information you give us must be accurate and complete.

Orders

An order placed through the store is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if the item is out of stock, if the price or description was shown in error, if we cannot lawfully export to the destination, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we refund you in full.

Orders over 100 kg total weight are not sold through the online checkout. Contact us for a freight quotation.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Japanese yen unless another presentment currency is selected, and are exclusive of tax. Applicable consumption tax is calculated at checkout. Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout. Customs duties and import taxes in the destination country are payable by the recipient and are not included.

Payment is taken in full at the time of order. Wholesale and OEM production is on advance payment unless agreed otherwise in writing.

We may change prices at any time. A change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.

Products

Tea is an agricultural product. Colour, aroma and flavour vary between harvests and lots, and photographs are indicative rather than exact. We describe grade, origin and intended use as accurately as we can, and we will tell you if a lot differs materially from what you bought previously.

Best-before periods from date of manufacture: matcha 360 days, leaf tea 365 days, powdered tea 180 days. Store sealed, cool, and away from light and strong odours.

Some products contain or are handled alongside allergens. If you need allergen or specification documentation for a product, ask us before ordering.

Wholesale, OEM and ODM

Made-to-order work is governed by the written specification and quotation agreed for that project, which prevails over these terms where the two differ. Standard lead time is 20 business days from confirmed order. Quoted rates assume production volumes; a very small run is quoted separately. Made-to-order goods are not returnable once production has begun.

Export, import and your responsibilities

We ship worldwide, but you are responsible for checking that the products you order may lawfully be imported into your country and used for your intended purpose. Tea and powdered food products are restricted in some markets. We will share what we know about a destination on request, but we cannot give advice on your local law and we are not responsible for goods detained, destroyed or refused entry by your customs authority.

If you are importing for resale, labelling, registration and food-safety compliance in your market are your responsibility. Tell us early what your importer or authority requires and we will prepare what documentation we can.

Intellectual property

The content of this store — text, photographs, product descriptions and the THE TEA BAR name and marks — belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without our written permission. Customers reselling our products may use our product photographs and copy for that purpose; other uses need our agreement.

For OEM work, any artwork, recipe or specification you supply remains yours, and we use it only to produce your order.

Automated agents

You may use an AI agent or other software to browse this store, read these policies and assemble a cart on your behalf. Checkout and payment must be completed with your explicit, contemporaneous approval. Automated scraping that ignores our robots.txt, or that places orders without a person approving them, is not permitted.

Liability

We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality, and our refund policy sets out what we do when something is wrong. Beyond that, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost business.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you buy as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Shizuoka District Court as the court of first instance. If you buy as a consumer resident outside Japan, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
