Tsushima Island Wakocha is made by one of Japan's leading black tea producers, who works on Tsushima in Nagasaki, an island surrounded by rich nature.
Black tea is made actively within Japan as well, and is known by names such as wakocha and jikocha (local black tea).
This tea uses benifuuki, a cultivar suited to black tea. It has a full, fruit-like sweetness and a bright aroma. There is no astringency or harshness and the taste is clean, so it is easy to drink even for those who find imported black teas difficult. Cold brewing is also recommended, so please give it a try.
