[2026 New Tea]
Ajizanmai is a best-selling item from Kaneka Kitagawa Tea.
It is a special sencha made in the aracha style, using high-quality leaf harvested in the new-tea season.
It is also a tea that represents the Kaneka taste, kept unchanged for 40 years.

The growing area is Makinohara and Kanaya, Shizuoka, and the cultivar is yabukita, one of the representative cultivars of Japanese tea.

Aracha-style tea is finished close to the state of aracha, the raw material of tea, so it still contains leaf, stem, bud and fine particles.
Its main appeal is that you can enjoy the sweetness, astringency, aroma and body of the leaf as a whole.

The character of Ajizanmai comes from a distinctive hiire (final firing) technique built up over many years, which gives a rich roasted aroma.
The sweetness and pleasant astringency of the leaf are joined by that roasted note, for a deep cup with real presence.

There is no need to let the water cool before brewing Ajizanmai; simply pour boiling water. The full aroma and body are best enjoyed piping hot.

Ajizanmai Murasaki uses leaf harvested about five days earlier than Ajizanmai Aka, so the flavor differs slightly.

Murasaki is rounder and a little fresher, while Aka has a little more body.

Tastes differ from person to person, so please choose the type you prefer.
